St. Patty's treats and giveaways.

Green, GREEN, CASH giveaway still going on, scroll down to yesterday's post to enter!

A great treat to make for St. Patrick’s Day! The ever famous rice krispies with a twist.
Just take some green food coloring, or food dye and add it to your marshmellows. Stir it in good and then add your cereal.
I don’t ever measure mine. I like it to this consistency.

When it gets there I know I am there and then I move on. Then dump it on some wax paper and smooth it out.

For these guys, it needs to be really thin . Not my typical RK treats. But I have to, for this.

So I make it like this to get this,

Get it? REALLY thin. Unless yours (cookie cutter) is better and thicker than mine. You can ignore me, if it is.

Because I use this not so expensive cookie cutter and it has to go through the treats.

Cut them out and there you go.
I used these in the care package I sent to my nephew as well as fed them to the kids last week as a trial run. They are a sure thing!

Tomorrow it’s corned beef and cabbage day and I couldn’t be more thrilled!! I LOVE this stuff. Don’t know why? I just do. It makes my mouth water just looking at that. YUMMMM. Great now I am hungry!! (Recipe later tonight if you wanna go out and by the stuff Corned Beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots, like a roast kinda, yeah, pretty much)

And today, the day before the tides (isn’t that what they call St. Patrick’s Day) maybe that’s some other day, anyways, Today is the birthday of one of my bestest friends. One that I have known, wow, 13 years. (am I really “that” old??) You know the friend, that is sooo caring, generous, kind, super- talented, and always down for a fun, crazy thing to do. (yep the one that went to meet the Pioneer Woman with me) yeah, you know one of those?? Yep, that’s her! It’s her special day today and so I want to wish her a great, wonderful and splendid day!
She is having a giveaway on her blog, so check it out if you wanna win!! Happy Days folks!
